hahahahahaha.. great! so your saying it will work.. i'll order the parts monday. and thanks hood i almost missed those 2 extra boosters.

lets add this up. strut spacers all together = 3.5in frankenlift= 3.5in KK fork= 2in? 4 nut clevis lift= 1in

who needs a JBA 6in lift when we just created a 10 inch lift ourselves     someone try it who has a 2wd

just kidding about all this dont do it (just incase)

:o   I wouldn't ride with him....ever in that thing, that's just an accident waiting to happen.

I don't think we should be naming our homemade lift, b/c word will get out and before you know it some newbie will be asking how they too can do the Godzilla lift

hahaha Oh the lift is just the beginning. mounted a stinger style bumper with 2 bolts through his stock plastic bumper and zip ties. Cut off his exhaust. wired 4 KC lights to his roof rack with a single 16 gauge wire for yes all 4. did his own renegade style flares by painting them rattle can bed liner and drilling holes in the sheet metal and screwing in SS self tapping screws. Just to name a few ways he got cheap

But its only 2wd so hes just going for looks at the moment, which i think he's done ok with, minus a few things.

  that thing is way scary!!!!
Reminds me of a kid when I was in High school, of course all cars had to be "jacked up " in the rear. He had a 63 Ford Galaxy convertible, leaf springs in the rear, he found some coil springs from something took wire clothes hangers and wired the coils between the axle tube and the truck area somehow, it looked cool as all get out ....sitting still! We take off down the road through some twisties to an area were we drag raced and hung out , last turn at about 85 mph he comes and then ...coil spring pops out on the outside drops that side about 4/5 inches right away....slides, flips....top is flat as a pancake , and he also had all the beer    Needless to say he never tried "jacking up" a car again

Looks fine...'cept that front axle looks MIGHTY skinny

Stacking spring spacers is not as bad as stacking lift blocks
Ever seen a truck come off the dunes with two 4" blocks on each side in the rear?

I do know one thing from ones following this, using stock top plates you can use a Rocky Road top plate or a Rustys top plate, for those using the Daystar top plate like with a Frankenlift you have to use a Rustys, RR's are too thick.
So you know what that means
Rustys are 1/4 inch thick = 1/2 inch lift
Rocky Road are 3/8 inch thick = 3/4 inch more lift and what we will not do for a 1/4 inch more

Rocky Road (when building there crappy OTT spacer lift ) uses a 3/8 chunk of steel for the top and bottom parts of the spacer , they use that same top part for the top plate spacer they sell

Just for my interest...how much thread is left on the OEM top plate studs when you fit a 3/8 spacer....?

Taylor,
HA! I saw that Jeep at the Warf New Years Eve. I saw if from a distance as I drove in and didn't go check it out closer. I was fooled as I thought it looked pretty swell. I even pointed it out to my wife.

That would be funny if he ever did get stuck in the sand and having to explain why you don't want to hook up to that front bumper.
I'll have to look closer next time I see it.

will let you know in a few days for sure, I do know that on a Daystar top plate there would be no threads showing basically. With the stock top plate should be three or four at least,(maybe more) just guessing right now until I tear mine down....AGAIN!!!

Ok so the front is done. I've got 21 3/4 in the front now with, OME 790's, ranchos, and rustys upper strut plate.

It rides soooo much better than the old set up. But i want to gain about another 1/2- 5/8" how many conduit nuts should i use?

4 is the max you can do and still have a good grip on the strut, but I would try 3 first

i bet your loving those new road manors 8) i thought it would give you more of a lift than that...i'm surprised all j's sells the CRD frankenlift as JUST the 790 coils and no other height adders.

Because you can't lift a CRD as high do to the front diff being moved over more towards the drivers side making the drivers CV really short and prone to getting a torn boot upon install of a full Frankinlift.

I want to! but I'm unsatisfied with the height at the moment. do you want some anyway? the rear is perfect. unless is settles.

Oh, 2006, Scott's (shaggyislandboy) CRD has a franky and he is like in the 19-20 range in the front on his. And thats stock, well other than the lift.
