Cheaper Place for an ARB

I stopped by my body shop today to have a little conversation with the shop foreman before my KJ came in. Get this, he was working on a KJ! The whole nose was off and exposed. I walked in and said "what are you doing, practicing?" He said he always does a dry run before touching my cars! Good ansswer.

Anyway, he got my points: paint bumper before and after installation. Don't paint that washer skid/protector plate khaki. Instead, paint it flat black.

Cut fender flares first, then paint them. Get it nice n straight. Only use the trim provided by ARB if you need it.

I can't wait!

You won't regret it, the ARB it's nice and looks awesome. If you get the winch you will need to replace the front springs. I used the heavy duty ARB springs and they lifted the front a little too high. My ball joints started contacting the springs. Trying to get some new A-arms from Al now.

I'm not doing a winch. Can't justify the expense or weight for as often as I'd use it.

I'm going to try and take before and after weight so I'll know the net additional weight of the ARB. I have a client with a scale. Just gotta get out there!

Has anyone put an ARB on a CRD? I really want one but am wondering about having to do heavier suspension up ft.

As of right now you cant because ARB dosent make a bumper to fit the 05 yet. I think something might come out this fall though.

Yes they do make a bumper for the 05 now.
