Hey Apollo, is that lifted?

Desertkj in the pics above it had a 40mm OME lift and standard 235/70/16s but was carrying 720kgs for a 9000km trip through Mozambique,(a neighbouring African country) the OME springs are great! its now up to 80mm with 245/70/16.

I am not going to be putting a snokle on although some of those look cool. I do want a roof rack and lights for sure. I also want to be able to keep the function of the moon roof. I am looking at various bumpers as I do want a winch intergrated into it. I good rear bumper as well.

Ive been still thinking about the bumper and rock rails design - Gathering stuff and finalizing Ideas. What I really needed was a lumber rack, something I could pick up some stuff with with. Plywood, lumber, pipe whatever I run across. My old Cherokee Id just throw down some 2x4's and load up but the KJ roof is not near flat. I wanted flat so here it is.

15 Hours later - Hope you like it

This shot was back in '04. I was running 265/75 MTR's then. The rims are 16x8 with (I think) 4.5" backspacing. I liked the bigger sized tire, but they did rub all around, and you could feel the weight difference. Now I have the 245/75's and it's much better. Next up I'm going to try some BFG's

Sorry have I missed something ?

Can you show me as many pics as you can with your 265/75/16 MTR's on pls ? I'm going down this route at the moment and I have exactly the same combo as you described. 16x8 rims with 4.5" backspacing and (about to go) 265 MTR's. I've trimmed a fair bit away front and rear already - how much trimming did you do ? How much lift to ? Ctr of wheel to guard measurement ?

Any other recommendations on roof racks? I know, I have never been a big fan of them, but for the uses the vehicle will see it would work out great. The more I know the better off I will be as I will be in search of a used one.

Aside from the occasional use with camping gear, my basket stays fairly empty. However, the Thule crossrails I have are constantly used on Home Depot trips to carry lumber, plywood, doors, etc... They are loud without an air dam however...
