I'm actually a bit surprised that ARB hasn't put out an 8.25" cover considering the amount of vehicles that run it.

What about the 3/8" one-piece diff cover from Ruff Stuff?

http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/cat ... p-152.html

$110 stock, $120 w/ drainplug & countersunk holes

http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/cat ... n-c-5.html

and they ship anywhere in the U.S. for $9.45

Nice article. it seems the only one that was bullet proof, isn't made for the 8.25.. imagine that.... then again there are not allot of options for the 8.25 it seems

The Ruffstuff is a nice one. Be sure to test it for porosity of the welds when you get it by filling it w/ a light oil and let it sit for a couple days. If it appears clean on the bottom side afterward it should be good to go. I have a similar design brand that has the lightest of bleed through at a couple welds but luckily they are on the top side and not bottom so it just appears wet around a couple spots but no drips.

I just talked to Dan with Ruffstuff and he is offering us a 10% discount on their site (http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/catalog/index.php) for the purchase of their 8.25 diff covers!!! :D

(Don't know if this applies to other items, I forgot to ask)

You will need to plug in KJLOST as the coupon code at ckeckout, and Dan said that they are 8-10 days backordered on the 8.25 covers.

Just spoke to ARB Artarmon(Syd Aust) & they do a D30 but I couldn't remember if the KJ is a D30 or something like a D30a. Help please, failing that I will look at the diff tonight.

The front diff is a D30A,uses the same cover that a D30 uses but since one of the mounts goes real close to the cover you can't use a aftermarket cover and the cover has the breather tube in it,plus that is what the front skid is for.

as far as i know, the kj and kk front haven't changed. here are a couple of pictures of the diff and skid and like tjkj2002 said, ever thing is close. also the right side of the skid protects the diff

Must be part of my "I don't know enough" problem mate, I thought it was a cover for the rear diff. I have got the front skid as Diggerfreek posted. I thought we were talking about the rear diff, I just didn't think any one would bother getting a diff cover for the front as (like you said) you can get a skid for that.

So does that mean you can't get a diff cover for the rear, I've been hung up on my rear diff a few times & thought a guard may have helped there.

Check this out....http://purplecranium.com/i-79433-dodge-8-25-10-bolt-chrome-differential-cover.html

Pretty cool looking stuff. Don't know about the strength of this cover but the spider guards they have look really darn interesting, and shall I say cool looking! Their website says they have a spider guard cover coming for the 8.25....a purple PC'd cover and a green spider guard would look sweet on the rear of my KJ!!!!!

I've seen a truck with one on there...then I found this site not long ago...I was guna post something on here about it, but I must have forgotten. Maybe some LOST guys need to email em' and tell them to hurry up with their spider guard for the 8.25!!! Maybe we can get a group by going or something, like a prototype test thru the LOST guys?? God knows alot of the members on here can put their cover/guard through it's paces!!!
