Yep that Dakato was really set up well, but true if no VIN sooner or later, but I really thought that one guy who was on here for a while said they had it for good, but then my memory is going fast so......

It was at camp jeep this last year. DCX has it. No VIN on it though, so it will eventually get crushed. There was a beautiful dakota a couple years ago built for SEMA that was 60's front and rear that got crushed cause of no VIN. its sad...

Can't see the point in that, why cruch the truck. Just give it a VIN and sell it, couldn't be that hard.....could it.

too many legal issues to sell it, plus if it was ever in a wreck and needed replacement parts, etc etc

Or at least part it out imo, I have a CRD the could be modified into a "Liberator" lol. Maby someday the aftermarket will relize the the Liberty is a capable and affordable off road rig, Knuckles and a GC front dif and we'd be gtg everything else is already there, ie Al's 6" lift :D

nope that was a one off custom KJ and you could only get a sunroof in the KJ unless someone just woke up one morning and decided to make thier own, only the KK has the skyslider, I would like one thought I think it would be pretty neat especially when camping on a good summer night

yeah i think the whole sunroof/skyslider idea is pretty sweet. seriously i want one. or a bigger sunroof than normal. dude as hot as it is here in VA a sunroof or skyslider is perfect. im not a big fan of AC.

Well, I'm pretty sure you can buy those aftermarket and have them (or do it yourself) installed!

Back when I owned a Grand Prix, a member from california chopped his roof and put on in. It looked SICK.

Would def. like to see someone do that on a KJ around here.

I think it was JP magazine that did a write up about a Skyslider install into an XJ about a year ago. It was sourced from an aftermarket company.

There was a kj at a Jeep meet in Dayton OH in May that had a "skyslider-esque" soft sunroof installed. All done by the owner. He's on LOST, but fairly new, and I cant remember his name...

Anyway, it was sweet! Very very good installation job. Looked factory. Was about the same length as the KK sky slider. One difference was that it only went back, where the KK sky slider goes back or forward or i think even can fold up in the middle if i remember correctly.

yes that slider was slick, he installed it himself, was the older guy wasn't it Jon? I thought it folded up both ways though, I know he was running it back and forth some while it was raining! What the heck was his name? Chime in if you are there!
