Padre, Mustang, Port Aransas - are all much nicer the times I've been - actually Mustang was almost empty -
South Padre gets most of the Spring Break crowds.

Corpus tends to have more shipping & industry.

we do have these here though. they fly up from mexico in groups and make a crap load of noise and can be coaxed out of the trees with apple slices.

i was trying to get you guys a pic of the street we live on. i thought i had one saved on photobucket. anyways, if you stand in the front yard you can see the bay at the end of the street where the pier and park is at. its about 5 minutes of walking. i would trade it for some hills and trees but you have to go where the work is and work is here in corpus for my wife and i. as long as our base doesn't come up on the brac list then we are here till retirement but if it does we will probably end up at redstone arsenal or something in alabama which would be cool because it was really pretty there when i was at fort benning and would drive up north for trips.

This site is awesome! LMAO! Yall are hilarious! Come to think of it, I've lived in every one of the states that were mentioned here plus a bunch of others, and Colorado for me is my fav. In a huge way. Winters get long sometimes... but the summers are to die for. I'm never leavin. If anything I'm moving even further into the mountains!

Dude!! I just came back from Denver. Hate it! Took the kids to Casa Bonitas for the evening. it was fun but I yell at everyone when I drive on highways and crap like that. I like county roads, country roads, and forest roads. If you do happen to see someone, they freakin wave. It's a whole different world. Big cities blow! Yeah I grew up on Oahu, so it was hard to escape that garbage. Now I do my best to steer clear of the herd. Here's a fishin pic for ya, Lake Dillon last year. The family went up to be in a Wooden Boat Show up there. We usually go to Grand Lake once a year. Dillon was on the schedule I guess. still fun.

LOL! bro I work up in the mountains now.. all the time. Love it. I drive a lot for my job. Hugely in the mountains. That's what made me buy this Jeep. I had to have more. I'm starting to collect names and numbers of people who Jeep and will let me get out and wheel on their land. People up there are awesome. I just met a guy who owns land up the Big Thompson Canyon.. He said " oh yeah there's some really old Logging roads that go way back in there, you're welcome to go anytime." I was like, YES SIR!!! **GASP** Still haven't gone up there, but I will. soon!

HEY!!! woohoo. Sold a guitar to buy the Lift from Rusty's. It will be here uh,.. friday or saturday. I can't believe how fast they shipped it out. I didn't even pay 2 day or nothin. just regular shipping. I'm gonna do the lift myself. I did get the spacer plates for the front. I do have a Torq bar and truck loads of other tools. I gotta borrow a spring compressor. Do i really need a strut compressor? Any tips or heads up stuff to help this process? any thing I need to be concerened about? It looks like the back will be a piece a cake? But the front looks and sounds loads more complicated. I have done a 3/8" clevis lift, cut and worked the fenders a bit, so I've gotten a little familiar with the front end of this Jeep. But still, This lift freaks me out a bit. I have a wife and three kids. Can I do this safely? As long as I have all the instructions? Torq specs?

OK, Rusty's lift is on. The front struts are odd. Not the same number on the packing slip. Also they were about the same size as the stock ones. kinda weird. at least the back shocks were a bit longer. anyway. The springs were hell to get compressed into that small strut, and put back together. The lift is on. It did raise the jeep for sure. I think it had sagged from original or something. But it definitely lifted the jeep. Now the tires are too small. LOL. The ride is a lot better on road. I like it. I haven't wheeled it yet, but soon. I did get the spacers for the front, glad I did. had it realigned already. If anyone puts this lift on themselves, I would suggest AIR TOOLS. I did it all with wrenches and ratchets. Took 6 hours. LMAO! Now just need to reTorq after a bit of stretching. But overall I think with a set of bigger tires the Jeep will look better. With the lift though, it makes the Jeep look smaller(shorter)... anyone else notice that? We took the kids to Disney on Ice. and on the way back to the Jeep, it was way out in an empty parking lot. The jeep looked SWEET! High up off the groung with a wide stance with those Moabs. Bigger tires would be the cats stupid. There was a wrangler parked a few rows up in front of it, the liberty made the stock wrangler look stupid. anyway,..

Yeah, this web-site rocks. It's helped me a ton with my Liberty. Here's our new Rig with our camper. Colorado, there is only one. I will check out the Colorado group. The kids take up most of my time,,... well any time left over from work that is. I get up and jeep whenever I can. Few times a month at least. The Jeep runs better when it gets off road. I've had the check engine light on a couple times after the wife has driven it,.. As soon as it gets some mountains and rocks off road, the light goes off. It likes the dirt and rocks. It may be something trivial but I'm gonna believe what I want. The one thing with Rusty's. There is no way it's lifted the Jeep a full 2.5". No way! It has lifted it. and the Ride is much much better. But a LIFT, should be a LIFT. Anyway. it's done. I don't feel like calling them and arguing that simple fact. No time for that crud. I knew a guy who was a cunsultant to some head honcho in the CIA... He told me that this head cheese had a plaque on his desk that you could not miss. It said, "Avoid Bullsh!t." Love it.
