I drilled out my pucks a little different than listed above. I drilled 1/2" through the center of all 3, but then drilled a 1" hole 1/2 way through the top puck so that the bolt head/washer are counter sunk.

I used nylon locking nuts, and to get them started in the tight space you have to work in, I used a pair of long needle nose vice grips to hold the nut while tightening the bolt with a socket wrench.

I had considered using a carriage bolt like the ones pictured previously, but then you have to tighten the nut, and given the limited space it would be a PIA.

Good buy, I have needed my right angle drill a number of times when working on the jeep, so you will certainly get your $30 out of it.

Or.......you can just glue them down.

Mine have been glued down for a year now with black silicone gasket maker and haven't gone anywhere. I am anything but easy on my Jeep, they won't fall off if you clean the mounting surface well.

That's not a bad idea. I have a friend that has some crazy glue. I can't remember the name, but there was a guy who glued a broken fan belt on his boat, put the belt back on, and made it held long enough to get a boat back to the dock.

The issue I see with glueing them in place is what do you do if you want to change out your coils?

Chisel and a hammer and pry it ??

I'd use super glue or rtv glue

not like ya usin liquid nails

if ya used liquid nails you'd probably never get it off short of an air chisel

I thought of that as well cause you have to take whatever bumpstop out to change the coils which I have to do someday soon

That's the beauty of silicone, they can be removed very easily with a hammer and screw driver. Just like taking a rear diff cover off that has gasket maker on it.

Hmm didn't think of that when I glued mine last year  Guess I'll have to get the sawsall out to cut them off when I need to change coils.
