You will need to drill a hole in the lower spring perch and bolt something there , we use hockey pucks due to them being cheap, easy to use and work great
here you can see mine compressed, think I have two in at this point

Fil, we used the heads of rubber mallets for a while, but if you get the .50 cent plastic ones they don't last long.

We now switched to silentblocs a buddy found somewhere.

You should be able to find motormounts of a 90's Ford Escort (or any other vehicle) over there in the UK and use those.

Most of them have studs on both ends. You cut one of, (or more if the silent block is thicker then 2") and use the other end (which still has the stud) to tighten the silent block with a nut on the rear axle.
