So for front shim plates as Tom specified a good reliable source is a user here known as Boiler (Chip) send him a PM here for those - he makes a bunch of other KJ gear too check the Vendor's forum for details...

viewtopic.php?f=34&t=47813

I believe he said he had 3/8 metal shim plates in stock right now too so good timing.

In front between the strut and clevis pinch (see clevis lift threads for details) some put 1-2-3... conduit nuts to accurately space for extra lift. If you go to your local Rona, HHardware, HDepot whatever go to the electrical section and look for the Iberville 2" locknuts (a two pack SKU is 1716-CP).

For front bumpstops if you can't get them locally (there was a several week wait at least at my local shops here) just order them direct from Terraflex:

http://www.teraflex.biz/front-bumpstops ... jeeps.html

They sent mine UPS instead of US Postal by accident so ended up with a few bucks more in customs brokerage/shipping - so watch out for that.

For the rear you might want to order one extra set of upper spring isolators at the dealer or an online mopar discounter ( www.moparonlineparts.com ) part# 52088707AA for a little extra height if you do plates and clevis up front.

Then for hockey pucks... grab whatever nut&bolt you have long enough to go through a couple drilled pucks and the spring seat.

I think I had budgeted $800 CAD all in for the lift and should come in just under if lucky... but a lot of other toys get found on these forums and we find out what JEEP stands for.

(Just Empty Every Pocket)

Huntbuggy,

What tire size to you plan on running? Are you going to add the strut plates and rear isolators?
I just want to make it as close to the franky so i have no rub issues. Are you goingto add the JBA upper arms?

Will eventually run 245/75R16 on 16x7 steelies with 4' backspace - time and $ permitting. Will be adding top plates, a bit of clevis lift and an extra set of rear isos. Not quite a franky but not too concerned with rub with that wheel size, width - except for the pinch weld at the rear of your front wheel wells. From posts here it can be a concern, I took a peek under the plastic and will probably pound it as flat as possible. It looks like a nice place to rip up larger tires. I shouldn't need JBAs yet from what I've been told but it's down there on the list of stuff... I have to pay for the lift, ARB bumper and probably a new exhaust soon so no rush :)

Redoing full skids was this month's project and am almost done, paint is drying on last bits like factory xfer case skid and new Ruffstuff diff cover. When Boiler gets front radiator skid and top plates in the mail it'll be lift month I think!

Fasta, 'buggy, I'll post a couple of pics to show you what fat tires might look like..

Stock, no lift, 225/75R16, October 2005

Khumo 245/75R16 and a crappy Rusty's spring lift. April '06.

Dunlop RVXT 265/75R16 and really worn out Rusty's lift. October ( I think) of 2009.

GoodYear MTs 31x10.5R15 on Cragar soft 8s 15x8 with an OME790/948, a couple of rear isolators and a nut or two on the clevis. Seriously pounded pinch welds.

Hey Guys,

Getting ready to install my lift next weekend. My question is i have my OME springs,Bilstein shocks and struts, Tera-flex front bump stops and hockey pucks for the rear. I also have 3/8 plates for the front and extra rear isolators. I just had my 245/75/16 General Grabber AT2 mounted on my Moabs.. I want the levelest lift i can. Should i use everything i have or will that be over kill for height with the 245? or do i leave out the 3/8 front plate and 1 rear isolator? Any help would be great. Will post pics when done.

It sounds like you got Boilers top plates so if that is right
then use them, one extra top rear isolator and it will come out sitting level

For example the last one we did here couple of weeks ago
OME 927/948s
Bilsteins/ one extra rear upper iso
and we used JBA top plates which are 1/4 inch and a 1/8 inch clevis to have it sit level
so what I described above for you would be the same
This puts you right at 22 inches

Tom, is there a different size front top plate so that I dont need to do the clevis lift as well? Im looking to do this exact same thing.
Thanks
Sam

I like a little adjustability when doing a lift
JBA top plates are 1/4 inch thick and 27.92 for the pair
Boiler has 3/8 inch thick that are 36.00 per pair
Just depends on how you want to go about it
or do like me, and be real confusing,.......
run a 1/4 inch on the right side and a 3/8 inch on the left :ROTFL:

After reading this I decided to add 1/4" JBA top plates and another set of upper isolators. So I should end up real close to 22 1/2" level on my 2007? Correct?

Edit: I Should add that I was already planning 1 extra upper isolator in the rear and 3/8" clevis up front. Tommud said that would put you at 22" so I'm expecting 22 1/2" with another isolator and JBA's 1/4" top plate. That will give me 4" lift in front from my sagged front height of 18 1/2" and 3 1/2" in the rear since I'm sitting at 19" now.
