Be careful with pinch weld, most just smash it down. I actually cut it and welded some flat steel over it and I run 265/75/16 with ome wheels and spaces. I havetowing package so my towing capacity is much higher then non towin. Works great

You will also loose about 1/3-1/2 your current gas mileage if you ahve any hills aorund as OD will be totally useless and your trans will hunt for the right gear often which will build up to much heat in the trans.

Aren't we talking about slightly less than an inch? Rubbing aside would it really make that much of a difference?

makes a huge difference
I was running 245-75s then 265-70s with no problems with overdrive downshifting etc
Went to 265-75s and overdrive was useless, couldn't even use it
Of course lots try and argue the point but I and many others know from first hand experience

I'll take you word for it, its always easier to learn from others mistakes :D . Just wondering why, computer or maybe that extra little bit of RPM needed to push the extra rubber makes it ride right where the shift point is.

Which tire did you like better, the 265/70 or the 245/75 and why?
