The washer is only used under the nut when the cotter pin isn't centred in the nut, without it the pin may not stop the nut from coming loose. If you don't need it there then you may need to use it under the ball joint boot to keep it supported, this is what I did. I agree the lower control arms do need to be adjusted outwards allot to match the uppers, but it's been done many times before without issue. For interest sake what version of the JBA arms do you have?

Thanks KKnut. I have the new gen 4.5. I can post a pic of them if it helps. Only thing different on mine than the pic on his website are that mine have a blue ball joint cover. So, would it make any difference on the alignment if the washer was above or below the knuckle?? I definitly need it. The nut would be way above where the cotter pin hole is if there was no washer

Just an update on this. I called JBA today. They told me it does not matter where you put that spacer washer. And that my caster will not be within factory specs with any of these a-arms because of the lift and that this is normal. He also said that only camber and toe-in affect tire wear and that I should not be concerned about the caster being off

yep camber must be set as close to center specs as possible.
Cross caster must be within 0.5 degrees. When lifted you can sacrifice some caster
If toe and camber are within specs you're good pretty much
