If thinking of running 31s get ready to regear or loosing a good bit of power and mileage

I have factory gears in mine, with 15x7 wheels and 31's. But I have GDE turbo tune and aftermarket turbo, so I have plenty of power. Also I don't pay attention to fuel mileage, when it needs fuel I put some in it

Ya I was wondering that, I imagine due to weight. The grabbers are load C and about 8 lbs lighter than the 245/75 load E I have now but the steels will probably stack that back on and then some. Unfortunately I don't have the CRD to hide the additional weight.

It's a tough decision, my factory aluminums are corroded and ugly and the tires are due for replacement before the trails open, and I have a nice set of 31's just sitting there. What to do, what to do?

You CRD guys get a little more room for tire size before power loss verses the gasser versions.If you want to step up to 265/75's(32" tire) then yes you will notice some mpg and power loss thus needing to regear.For gassers it a 31" tire that really needs to be regeared.
