Bingo
Got a call from the shop that is doing the lift to the Jeep Monday afternoon. They said the Jeep was done and how quick could I pick it up. I sort of forgot all about it, but quickly shifted gear in my head, “We’ll be there in twenty minutes.” Nell, bless her heart, dropped everything and drove me in.

Pretty cool, sitting in the lot...

Now that I had my Jeep and Tusas was over not to mention feeling pretty darn good having not consumed alcohol for the third year in a row, I needed to go get my ladder off the stage and test out these fancy smancy tires in real mud; New Mexico Mud.

Unfortunately, my ladder wasn’t where I left it on the stage. I thought perhaps one of the conscientious cleanup crew had brought it back to our house along with all the tools.
One more “test drive,” and I located the ladder back at one of the far camps. Happy, I drove out enjoying the feel of the Jeep in the element it was made for; mud, a phenomenon I was kind of worried we wouldn’t be seeing ever again.
On the way out from the Central Meadow I remembered I needed top pick up the battery from the fire fighting water tank trailer and turned around.
After grabbing the battery and making it all the way to the top and over I remembered my tool pouch. Turning around again I headed for the stage this time. What is so incredible is the fact that with the rain and softness of the soil there really wasn’t any ruts anywhere in the meadow. This makes me so very happy, and if there is a heaven Pappy is looking down on this fresh generation with pride and happiness as well.
I want to thank everyone especially Danny Bradley for organizing an incredible venue for the stage and getting everyone playing music on time and constantly. Thank you to all the musicians.
So, here we go getting back to our lives with an extreme but totally successful Tusas Camp behind us.
At least it’s already Tuesday. Desertgate was nice and let me keep to my normal schedule so I have Wednesday off, then I’m back for Thursday and Friday. This weekend traditionally I plant my gardens.
only issue I see is rubbing at the front of the tire on the cheesy plastic fenders. I'll look at a solution for that today.
