So what you're saying is, the only thing they're good for is sucking??? 8)

I always thought they were neat looking tires so this is news to me, thanks!

oh no ya dont... i dont want that fubar crap on me.... fubar is the corp not the army. Im not saying the army doesnt have any stupid stuff like that but at least we dont have tocome up with an abreviation because we screw so many things up. An on the subject of the lift. One of the guys i wheel with did about the same as this guy. He dropped in the ott after the rustys, dropped the cradle and changed his uppers. It worked great for a while until a rainy day came along and he tore the stinky poo out of his front diff on a bunck of wet rocks. moral of the story........... never say "its going to be fine... dont worry about it". We all know that this setup obviously doest work so why bother do it unless y7ou fix the problems that have made themselves very well known.

Yup thats my jeep.. if you check out my car domain site you can see more info on it.. But i put the combo lift on which gave me 5.5 inch of lift and offset wheels with 2" wheel spacers help out for the tire clearance, no rubbing until turned all the way but im working on that now. the front axles do have a lot of angle but ive put this thing through heck and they have yet to break... the only thing i have broken are my stock rims and tie rods.. right now im welding up front and rear bumpers and its going to look pretty sick after. i plan to do a straight axle conversion on the front in a couple years.. And yes i live in Hamilton OH Butler county... and yes... aka HAmiltucky.. haha

correct choice of words "heck" I put this though heck at the only place ive been wheeling and thats around my city in the woods just up hills in mud holes in the river its done fine for me and so has my thornbirds you can dog on the tires as much as you want but i had them on my cherokee and i put them on my liberty they do fine for the wheeling i do ,im not saying this thing is a rock crawler but it will do the job. You might be suprised on what it can do so until you see me out wheeling this please dont discredit my for anything..

here are a few videos i have from in a mudd hole.. i have to upload more vids of in the river and climing hills.. but until then you can see a couple of these..

I have to say, that setup aint bad.

I'd rank it somewhere between stock and OMFG.

How wide are those tires?

K, I am gonna dog the Thornbirds. They suck  Sorry you think they do fine but you could have SOOOO much better tires, especially for the wheelin it looks like you do...I have not once seen a rig with thornbirds that was able to do similar things that a very similar rig could do with a different set of rubbers...good lookin jeep dont get me wrong, I guess drivin thru mud and water just aint what Id call hell, but to each his own...cleanup of mud IS hell however

well, swampthg. if nothing else, you've certainily got some attention around here, and there are quite a few modified kjs on this site. Look! You got 6 pages of discussion about your jeep right now! pretty cool.
seriously, your jeep looks sweet and seems to work well for what you use it for. thats what counts. :D

This is the most stupid thread I have seen on here... I thought the same thing about the thornbirds on the first day of this post but I knew if I said anything it it would turn into this garbled blur of people's hate for the worst tire in wheeling.

If you are so passionate about discussing the thornbird, why dont you start a thread about how they suck donkey balls. I'm sorry for calling you out but I can't beleive what kinds of random issues have been brought up due to this thread.

Shame on all of you...
