I found out you are supposed to replaced the seal. I'm not sure why that guys didn't have a new oil pump seal. The old one was mostly metal and the new one rubber.

I have another issue now though. Quicklube stripped my tc filler bolt. So in a blonde moment i drilled a hole right through the bolt that was too big for my bolt extractor kit to work. So now i'm sol. I just hope i can find another bolt extractor that will work. I'm also considering drilling a new larger hole and threading it and using a different bolt. Any other suggestions?

maybe a bit late to post this and i dunno if anyone already mentioned this, but its always a good idea to pull the fill plug out before the drain plug (not mentioned in the front diff section) .... just in case the fill plug wont back out .... doesnt happen often, but i have seen it freak some people out before. just my 2 cents .... nice thread other than that

Okay, i got the stripped bolt out of the tc with a larger bolt extractor. Worked like a charm. After i got the fill plug out then i could open the drain bolt and let out the fluid. I also sprayed a half litre of atf-4 oil in there and let drain to clean out any metal shavings from the drill bit.
