Well Troy, I am glad you're on our side. I popped the hood and took a look at the breather. It was your standard 5/8" hose with one of those caps they put on breathers. I popped the top off and noticed that there was a lot of gunk crammed under the cap. So much so that it's conceivable it was sealed instead of breathable. I cleaned it out real good and put the cap back on.
It's hard to see since the dipstick is so close to the firewall but I don't see tons of fluid migrating down from the area that would explain the puddles I see on the ground. I am going to run it over to the carwash and pressure clean the underbody and see what it looks like in the AM.
Just so I am armed for conversation, are you saying that if the breather was sealed, it would cause the tech to misread how much fluid is in there? I have also only located one breather extended, I asked them to extend the t case and the tranny. If they ran joined the two breathers and ran one 5/8" hose, would that be a problem? I am not sure if these are high pressure systems.
Thanks guys.
Better check your t-case fluid also, you might be empty or way overfilled since the fluid would go to the easiest path and having both breather hooked together that means it went to the t-case before blowing the dipstick out.
Have the guy run 2 seperate extended tubes, one for the t-case and one for the tranny, they should never be joined together.
