How much will this thing cost? Did I miss it somewhere? I would like mine polished and clear coated as well. That looks sweet just the way she sits right now. Let me now the cost and I can maybe pick up a 3rd job  :D

I'm still working on the price. I'm expecting it to be in the ballpark of $300. I'll set a firm price in a day or two when I have had a chance to get all my prices back from my suppliers.

Polish + clearcoat is going to be expensive. I'm guessing it will take a while, and the labor is going to be a killer. I can't quote it until I do mine, and at the moment that's looking like it will be done on the weekend or next week. I'm suddenly extremely busy with about 5 different projects.

I could also "brush" the aluminum and clear coat it, giving it all a swirly grain. Basically I go over it with an abrasive plastic wheel brush to remove any blemishes and create a uniform appearance. Then it could be clearcoated. I'll give a price on that when I finish the skid price.

I decided that I didn't want have the standard skid to have superficial detailing to maintain full strength, not to mention some people might now want it there. I am planning on supplying a black or white sticker (buyers choice) with my company banner/logo on it (which I haven't announced yet due to lack of a website). I also don't have stickers in hand yet, but I am keeping a list of people that I owe them too.

Also I could carve just about anything you want in any piece for a moderate fee, dependant on amount / detail of cut. I can't guarantee durability at the superficial cuts though.

Chip, I could run over there and we can install it on my '02 and I'll test the hell out of it down in Maysville on the 19th! :D :D :D
Complete with pics even if you want!

I AM kinda nervous about going with no gas tank skid anyway.

I've started a new thread outlining the gas tank skid offering. You can visit it here:

http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... highlight=

I'll PM shipping quotes to those of you that asked for one on Sunday.

I'm going to continue to use this thread for discussion of armor in development and create new ones for finished products.

Well done Boiler. Good to see such enthusiasm for developing aftermarket products for the Libertys.

Well I'm going to have to start pacing myself with the development. A lot more goes into it than you'd think and about a week ago I was wearing both of us out trying to get the gas tank skid done. It's going to take me a while to get through the whole line and then get to KK's, but I'm going to do it.
