Is this lift any good? Problems? Is ride quality the same? I believe you can use stock length shocks and struts? |

I'm pretty sure this is a lift to stay away from. Many owners have had problems with it, and end up taking it off. I don't remember what the problem was exactly, but maybe a previous owner will chime in. Go for Daystar lift if you're looking for a budget spacer lift, otherwise go for a full suspension replacement Frankenlift or Rusty's Coil Lift. I've had the OTT for over a year and no problems, although I also have an ARB w/ winch. Others have had problems with struts going bad pretty quickly with the OTT. Also when the wheel drops the Upper Ball Joint contacts the spring and this can be very loud. Most all 2.5" lifts will cause UBJ contact. If you want spacer lift the RRO combo lift is smaller but doesn't have the problems of the taller lifts. OME makes a full suspension lift that is also shorter to avoid problems. The OME is expensive. RRO also has Rockfather lifts (similar to Franken lift). RRO says there is no UBJ contact with this lift. |
