I just ordered my Frankenlift today, and my 245/75/16 Goodyear MTR's should be here tomorrow... I'm so excited, it's like christmas all over again. I suppose i will be popping back in and getting a few tip to ease my install. |

It's almost a 100% guarantee that you'll need an alignment after...there's some discussion as to whether or not it should be done immediately or if you should let it settle a bit. |

You must get an alignment after putting a lift on. The only thing is, its best to wait awhile after putting it on b/c it will settle some. If you get it aligned the day after, it will settle and be off again. Ive heard of people turning the tie-rod 2 turns I think it is, so the tires do no wear so fast until you get it aligned. You can also measure between the front two tires before you start and go by that to adjust after the lift. Good luck!! |

just set toe-in about 1/8 inch and wait to align after it settles |

If you've got good tires, and you want to put 'em on right away, I'd go ahead and get it aligned. I waited about 3 days (40 miles or so) and my AT's are showing a bit of wear around the outer edges. It's not much, but it's more wear than they'd get from everyday driving. If you're driving the stockers though, go ahead and wait for it to settle. Then you'll have even more reason to get new meats. Or you could try the tie-rod trick. I didn't trust myself to do it without messing something up though. |

well my MTR's showed up today... i think i am going to install the lift and run the stock tires for a about 150 miles or so to let things settle in, then install the MTR's and get it aligned |
