WOAH  i really can't see those working that great....but then again it's just me...i know those HUGE snow machines use giant tank tread lengths but with 4 individual ones...hmmm

I have seen them on pickups and ATV's. There were some marketing videos on the Internet showing them going through sand and snow. Pretty awsome. |

I have seen them in action out here on a government Chevy Suburban (early 80s vintage). They kick butt, but cost a fortune. I think they are either $20,000 or $40,000 for a full set. They are called MATTRACKS: http://www.mattracks.com/ There is also a CJ-3B in Alaska there a guy engineered his own out of snowmobile tracks - very awesome. They are great in snow and sand, but pretty useless elsewhere. They can't be used on big rocks or mud with any effectiveness. Also, they put a TON of stress on the suspension components...even more so on a IFS. |
