Post subject:  real quick help

i got all the parts and they will be installed tonight by myself and a few friends, i know that we will be able to accomplish this, but to cut back on the time and confusion could anyone give me a quick run thru on installation of a rustys 2.5 susp. lift. like little things to do and not do to make the install as smooth as possible.

thanks.

i will put pics up tonight if it all goes well.

A real time and energy saver for reassembly.... Use a ratchet strap to position the clevis so you can get the bolt back in. Hook one end to one leg of the clevis and other end to opposite side of engine skid, while one side of clevis has an alignment tool holding it in place, tighten strap to pull opposite leg of clevis into position and slip the bolt in, couple taps w/ the hammer and it should be in.

Hope you have a decent strut compressor on hand. I had to wait a day to do the front to track one down cause the one at my hobby shop was a POS. Don't be afraid to pull on the airbox to pop it out as well. It just snaps into place and a decent amount of force is requuierd to removed it. I spent a little extra time trying to figure out how to remove t cause I was pulling and pulling but not wanting to break it. Then Finally got a lil mad and said heck with it and gave it a GOOD yank and it popped right out. You got the extra hands so it should only take you couple hours. ANy questions just put up a post. I installed mine with ease minus the front strut assembly with only the frau for help.

the strut compressor was the major setback making it a 7 hour job all together.o well im impatient and i wanted it done tonight,so it got done tonight.

i tried it without removing the sway, def didnt work, soo i removed it had a friend put some weight on it, and it was easy.

no problem with the airbox removal,i already had a rustys intake/airtube :D
