for sand just make sure you air down to at least 15 psi - otherwise you'll get stuck use 4x4 LO and easy on the gas - if you give too much you will start digging yourself a hole and get deeper in it. welcome to the forum |

thanks, i used to take my 75 jimmy on the sand all the time. i didnt know if the ground clearance on the libby would be enuff or not. i always used 4lo, it circulates the tranny fluid better and helps keep it from overheating. |

Took my old 2002 Sahara dition KJ out on the dunes in Corpus Christi and had a blast...sand blast that is...cleaned any and all old rust from the bottom of the Liberty. Had some 245/75/16 E rated at the time and went down to 13psi...ended up pulling others out of "stucks". Some of the time I was is 4WDHI because the climbs required some speed. I drive on the beach at least 3 or 4 times a week. I stay in 4Hi and never let the air out of my tires....this was before I had the lift and tires even. You should be fine.......if the sand is really REALLY soft the airing down might be a good idea. But like i said, I never had a problem.... |

Pay no attention to these Floridians who think they "4 wheel" on the beach. You will definitely need to air down, the sand up there is way soft. |
