I believe you can also use them to recenter the rear axle in the wheel well via the adjustment in them. (or so I thought someone said) My HO is that they are too much money for not enough gain. I don't see any difference in wheeling capability w/ stock arms Vs. the RE ones on a 2.5" lifted KJ. |

I have the stock control arms and run some pretty hard trails. I have dents and scratches on them but never bent them. I've seen RC arms bent from hitting objects the good thing about them is you can adjust them out. If you want more flex take the rear sway bar off. I think JJ is right too much money for not enough gain. |

I'll say that I got mine used for $130 and would never pay RE's new price. For my part I'll say that although the flex doesn't look different it does feel different off road. |

I agree with Matt. The flexy arms will just allow a greater freedom of movement off road. It will feel like the rear is 'floating' compared to the stock arms. The only thing that gives added flex is SHOCK LENGTH. I'm going to get a set of these made up soon, but alter the design slightly as I want something alittle different. By the way, if you adjust those arms shorter or longer than the OE length, you'll alter the driveline pinion angle. Matty, can you give us a decent pic of these things installed, just sitting on a driveway ect. ? Cheers, Stu |

Cheers, Stu Not sure what kind of shot you want Stu. Please explain. With the Frankenlift installed it looks like a normal lifted KJ. |

sorry mate, I meant like a 3/4 front/side on angle on a driveway, so it shows plenty of the arms sitting in a non flexed way. Taking the photo from ground height would help by the way.

Taking the photo from ground height would help by the way. Cheers, Stu How about mine....I will offer that my KJ feels much less top heavy offroad with these arms on in place of the stockers.

Thanks jpzkj, that's what I was after. and I understand what you say when you say that your KJ feels less top heavy, as the rear suspension is able to "walk" through obstacals more freely. Are yours home/custom made ? |

We just added something just like this 
to Freejeep's KJ last weekend - Stock KJ rear control Arm was 17-1/8 lenght from bolt hole to bolt hole - We increased the adjustable one to 18-1/8 It was a pain to install but we did it pretty fast - we had to unbolt the rear shocks in order to get a good grip on the Rear control arms bolts. Passenger side was harder since the Muffler was on the way - but we lifted the muffler with a jack until we had enuf room to get the bolt out - After install we actually see the tires being better centered on the wheel well. there is some testing needed to see how much improvement on everything there is. Wait until Camp Jeep and we will hear something then. |

I've got em, I digg em. They work great and yes, you get more flex out of them. Mine flexes so much now I'm blowing the fender flares off at an alarming rate. Anyone making aftermarkets yet? No, they're not cheap, but I think they're worth it. |

Just a little correction... Extended my rear arms from 17 7/8 (stock) to 18 1/8.  They also corrected a nasty bang I had in the rear when going over bumps. I'm guessing they didn't really correct it, just moved stuff around enough to hide it for a while
