I have an 06 CRD and I am doing kind of a budget lift. OME HD's in the rear and I am planning on the .75 poly spacers under the stock springs in the front, will I need a bit of Clevis lift to even it out? I have been searching old threads and not really found the answer. I am trying for a solid 2" of lift . |

You need the 1.5" spacers in the front. I'm running the Daystar pucks only - 1.5" in front(netted 1.75 inches) and 2.5" in rear (after removal of factory spring pad, netted 2.0 inches in the rear). |

FYI 0.75" spacers = 1.0" lift 1.5" spacers = 2.0" lift 2.0" spacers = 2.5" lift because of the ratio of the lower arm/ lower strut mounting point, just use spacer thickness + 33% to get the total lift. thats why a 3/8" clevis lift gives you 1/2" lift. |

Just FYI, if you are looking at the .75" spacers that Rusty's sells. They are identical in size to the Daystar ones used in the Frankenlift. Which I think yields something like 1-1.5" of lift. I had both spacer side by side at one time in my garage. |

Talk about confusing. Rusty's should label them correctly then as there is a real .75" spacer out there... Check out this thread: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... ght=spacer Eddo - you have a post in there stating that basically, you got something different than the 0.75" spacer from them - more in line of a 1.5" |

Maybe they are talking about the actual size of the spacer and not the amount of lift it gives |

I dont think the clevis lift numbers are a constant I installed a 3/8" spacer and netted 7/8" I think it realy depends on the jeep |

some what in line with this topic does any body have a old upper strut plate laying around they could measure and post up I would like to cut some upper strut spacers out of some 1/4"-3/8" material and see what that does if I get the same % as the clevis then out of 1/4" I will get 1/2"+ lift |

It's a long story but Quinn and Heather were very helpful and my Daystar stuff will be here in 3-4 days. |

I was wondering who has used rusty's strut plate and how does it hold up? And where do you get the 3/8" clevis? |

you can not "get it" you have to make it buy it is rather easy it only took me about 1 hr to do after i had the spacers cut and the first one took 40 mins. |

I got the strut plate on mine. I can't tell you how much lift or anything you actually gain form it since i put it on with the lift install and did a clevis lift during the reasssembly. As for how it holds up, you can't bust it. It is a solid peice of metal that goes between the strut and top mounting point on the rig. You do not have to have a spacer to do a clevis lift. My take is people use the spacer for added saftey so there is no chance of the strut slipping back down.I don't have a spacer with mines and it hasn't budged. Hope this was some help for you. |
