You could try this, its a spacer to lift your front end up 1/2":

Strut Plates

Clevis lifts are always available....... A 1/2" clevis should net you around 1.25".

from my understanding all a clevis lift is, is a peace of metal thet goes on the bottom of the strut then the clevis mounts to the clevis adapter... so there is no dissassembily of the strut to put this on... and there is no nasty sideaffect of bad angles the blow the struts and cause problems like all top mounted strut spacers as shown by JEEPKJ02 with the rustys plates that go n top of the strut instead of the clevis....

correct me please if any of this is wrong....

Try 3/8" to 1/2", it should get you just where you want to be...

Theres not a brand...Its a home made thing. Its kinda like taking a tire off. theres not brand to taking a tire off, it just happens.

You just slide the clevis out of the clevis fork and tighten the bolt back. Some people make a spacer and put it under the clevis to make sure it doesnt slide back down in. If you have the ome front shocks or rancho front shocks, you can use 2" conduit washers. They do not work with the stock shocks though b/c they slide over the lip.

It doesn't matter if you add lift above the strut (rustys top plate) or under the strut (clevis lift), you get the same amount of "droop". I have done both and have a 2.5" lift as well. You just gotta watch how bad your angles are getting when you start going more than 3" of total lift.

I think that this is what you are looking for or what you want to do

in this photo the cv angel is going down or the center of the tire is higher than the center of the diff
Image

in this one the shaft is strait and the lbj is perfect if you look at the strut between the clevis and the strut that is a pcs of 3/8" alum 3" O.D. and I cannot rember the I.D. if you go this route I would not let the bottom of the strut go past the bottom of the bolt 1/2" may be a push

I am not sure where you can get alum from but IMO this makes a cleaner job
I got mine from one of my customers that sells metal of all type and had some 3" solid stock and they cut it for me
you could get some big washers from a bolt supply house and use that they should have every size you can think of by a 1/16"
or try to get some scrap from a place that sells metal and cut it but by the time you buy 2 hole saws the rustys top plate would be cheeper

That first picture is what my cv's looked like before my lift. Now they look like that, but in the other direction. :) I thinking of getting alittle more lift from the clevis, but I feel like crap right now so Im not going to. Maybe around 1/4-1/2in more lift.

They are struts. The KJ does not have shocks up front.

My '03 FSM calls them shocks - specifically, they are a coil-over shock. They don't have the typical round eyelet style mounting points, but rather threaded studs off top and bottom.

OK, looking at some of the pics of aftermarket lifts I am seeing what look like struts, so please help me here - what does the KJ come with stock, and are those struts in the lifts a change from stock?  :?
