Any one have first hand experiance with this? Is there any way the extra spacer could slip out or do they snug up together? I already have a set of 3/4" front spacers on the way from rusty’s but I was still trying to figure out how to lift the rear without spending much money, I just read Eddo's reply about this in a post about getting an extra 10mm of lift, I know its not much of a lift but but stock KJs sit way too low but I don't have the extra money to sink into a real lift and new tires this sounds like a great budget boost lift with no draw backs, (i.e. no OTT problems) |

I used a 1/2" spacer that I got from All J products. They don't show them on their web site, but they do sell them. I used two on each side to get an inch of additional lift. There is no chance they can slide out. The upper bump stop will go through the center of the spacer. I need to do something similar with the front. Let me know how those 3/4" spacers from Rusty work. |

You can also buy a set of factory rear isolators and stack it on the original one.I did this and it makes a big differance for about $30 set. |

I've done it on 2 KJs and they snug up just fine. Plus I know some other people on the board that have tried it and it works fine. The upper spring isolaters actually give about a little more than a 1/2" You can get them straight from the dealer for a total of 20 dollars for both isolators. I can take a picture if you really want. |

Finally lifted! The Rusty's 3/4" spacers worked perfectly. In fact, it looks to me like they yielded more than 1" of lift overall, but I didn't take before and after measurement. When I was finished installing the front lift, I started to wonder how my 2" terraflex rear spacers would work. So in they went, and boy am I impressed with the results. Now having said that, I don't know if this would work with a non-CRD KJ, but I don't see why not. I bought the 2" terraflex budget boost before I learned about the problems with OTT lifts, so I don't know whether or not the rear 2" spacer is for sale separately, but I would say it's around $75 or so. The installation went smoothly. I spent about 5 hours on the front (it would have been less, but I spent about 1.5 hours traveling to the base auto skills center to use their very nice spring compressor to install the spacers--a really good spring compressor is a must as it took alot of force to compress those CRD springs with the spacers). I spent less than 2 hours on the rear, and for a homemade spring compressor, I used a small ratcheting cargo strap--worked great. Regarding my original question (which is now a moot point), I found a great budget boost that won’t damage anything. Here's some before and after shots

Cool. Only be down to Alamogordo twice. I know what you mean by a backwater town, but its not bad. I really loved Albuqueque when I was there. Would go back in a heartbeat if I could. |

I HAVE DONE IT !!!!! These go overtop the sping, not under it the1jferg... What is your ground clearance at the lowest point under the front skid? Be sure to measure it when the jeep is on level ground. If its nose up then it will be alittle high. |
