Well, looks like the Rusty's coil lift will be going on the '02 [lowered] Renny on Sunday, along with getting the Grabber AT2's mounted and balanced, and removing the factory side steps. Will also be doing the clevis lift at the same time. Can't wait, and will definitely post pics. Any last minute tips or advice from those who have installed this lift? Thanks!!!

Just make sure you have a decent strut compressor handy cause them new rustys coils are some bears. Also when you are doing the rear be sure to remove the sway bar, it will give it a bit more flew to squeeze them new springs in there. |

Your right the front Rustys spring are a bear to compress. I did not have to remove the sway bar to do the rear BTW. YMMV Marc |

Here is a summary of my Rusty Coil Installation: http://www.lostjeeps.com/forum/phpBB3/vie ... 678#129678 I suggest getting: For the Front = 6 2" conduit lock nuts from the hardware store $0.99x3 (AKA Clevis Lift) 
For the Rear = 4 upper rear spring isolators from the Jeep dealership $12x4 You can see the extra upper rear spring isolators above the spring in this photo. 
This will give you about an extra half inch in the back and front for just a few extra $. As far as the springs, I would not only recommend a spring compressor but I would also recommend an air drill (even if you have to rent it). It you try to do them by hand, you will be turning a long time. Good luck... |

I suggest get the front assembled at a shop like Midas. Its like 40-50 dollars though but you wont have to worry about the spring popping out on ya. |

Thanks a TON for all of the great input, everyone!!!! I'll definitely be stopping by the hardware store for the conduit lock-nuts. I'll give my local stealership a call about the upper spring isolators for the rear. I'm assuming you use two per side, right? As for the spring compressor, my buddy owns his own performance shop and he's got one there. That's where we will be doing all of the wrenching. Thanks again everyone!!!!! It's HUGELY appreciated.

do NOT remove the rear sway bar! its just more work, stick a small bottle jack between the upper shock mount and rest the bottom of the bottle jack on the top of the sway bar bolts, then jack it up to make room to get the spring in. only takes a few seconds and saves time and energy.

i have some advice. go ahead and spring for the rancho rear shocks, the noise that the rusty's shocks make will wear on your nerves and make you want to shoot your kj. it makes a sound like you broke something. you'll be happy.. |

I just got some to flatten out the frankenlift. dealer had to get the four of them from the wherehouse. only took 2 business days... might want to see about ordering them in. |

Got them ordered today while on lunchbreak. Three will be here tomorrow (Wednesday), and the fourth should be in on Thursday. Did get the odd looks and "why do you need four of them?" questions.
