Ok. I have got my mind set on the Frankenlift. It seems to be the best for what I want my KJ to do. Anyways, I would like to take the Jeep to the shop in CA for them to install the lift there, since I'm already in AZ anyways. In fact, we're thinking about making a vacation out of it and going to San Diego while we're at it. However, we are wondering about the experiences people have had at the shop. We would hate to drive 300 miles and have them say that something happened and they arent ready to install it. Has anyone had any experience with them?

Ditto on All J's. I would however make arrangements with them before driving all the way out there. I know they are in the process of moving shops to Big Bear some time soon. Shoot them an email or a phone call and talk it out with them. Hope that helps.

I cant even begin to count the number of shops I drive by to get to ALL J's.
I have been there SEVERAL times for many different things, from a couple hour project to a full blown long day to get'r done......they are GREAT, and do the job right!!!!!!
And yes, we have always made a little mini vacation out of it.......several times playing up in Big Bear...very near by.
Talk with Quinn or Heather and tell them you are an AZ Jeeper and want them to do the install, they will do what ever it takes to accomodate you.
We usually would arrive on friday mornings, and they would work on the Jeep, and away we would go, with the weekend to play in Big Bear or So Cal........

ALL J's ROCKS!!!!!! 8)

Big Bear. Thats way up by Tahoe isnt it? They arent moving up there in the next month are they? Thats a way longer drive. But it sounds like they are great to do business with. I just came back in from the garage measuring to make sure it will fit lifted with tires. Just barely..... 8)

All J's is the best. I would rather drive 300 miles and know it is done right than have someone in Phoenix do it. Plus, they will teach you how as it goes along, just grab a wrench if you feel like helping. They will make you feel right at home. They've worked on my Jeep way past closing time to make sure that everything is done right with not a thought. That, is customer service. Plus, you can pick their brain. They have a lot of knowledge, probably more than you can handle in a day. Just like Mike said...call them first and they will hook you up.

Happy wrenching!

P.S. Big Bear is NE of L.A. I believe. About 15-20 minutes from the shop I think.

Waddell to Big Bear city:
Total Est. Time: 5 hours, 23 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 342.96 miles

Waddell to Colton:
Total Est. Time: 4 hours, 30 minutes
Total Est. Distance: 307.59 miles

The drive up to Big Bear is much nicer and a much better destination than Colton anyhow and then you can wheel Big Bear afterward.

BTW, There is a mod party at the Colton shop this weekend. IF you can make it I am sure we can get you lifted. We have two other lifts to do that day but that is nothing compared to the many we have done before.

Well crap. That would be great, but unfortunately I have no chance at gettin out of town this weekend. I'll be giving the shop a call either today or tomorrow with a few questions about the install.

WOW......you must have a very small garage door height.......
my lifted KJ with 245's fit in the garage NO problem .....as does the lifted unlimited with 33's......

I'm in California and All J's is still 382 miles away! Well worth the trip for the customer service and plain old friendliness.
