Post subject:  Best time to switch to synthetic lubes

When I picked up my KJ last week it had just under 19k miles on it.
At the rate I am piling on miles, I am going to pass 20K by next week.
When would be the best time to swap oils and lubes to synthetic? I am
going to assume that 20K miles is going to give all the break in that I need.

The reason I ask is because I have never had a rig with this low of an odo reading
and I want to make it last. Also the mpg gain will be appreciated.
Thanks,

Have you checked your manual? Should all be there in the back.

Wow, Thanks for the great words Mike!! :D

mikego,
If you are an active or retired Military, Fireman, Police or even School Teacher, I have an At Cost deal going on right now for The Best synthetic lubes on the market. You can switch even a brand new car over to synthetics w/ No problems. There are even new cars coming from the factory w/ synthetic lubes in them now and some of those mfg's are touting extended service intervals too w/ synthetics.
I could go on all day about the benefits but from your post I am guessing you already know. Anyhow, PLMK if I can answer any questions about Amsoil Synthetic products or hook you up with a great deal. Even if you don't fit into the above professions, I will get you a nice discount just for being on L.O.S.T.

I switched at under 2,000 miles and it's showing 107,000 now with no prolems.Runs as well as it did new.I'm looking to get well over 200,000 out of the engine.Just changed the diff fluids a couple weeks ago and they're looking great including the Powertrax No-Slip locker.Go for it.

How long have you had the locker in the jeep? Im wondering if that thing causes more wear and tear on the bearing in the rear end..

Youve not had any problem out of the jeep? Do you tow anything or take it offroad?
