Hello Fellow KJ'ers!

Brand new to the club! Love all the good stuff in this forum-
Looking for better mpg- don't want to void warranty and still want to put big wheels on- I know I'll get the best advice here!

Thanks a ton! :)

if you have a bit of money to spend, I'd go for a 245/70-16 tire - you do not need a lift to fit that size - personally I liked the Dueler AT Revos - pricey but they were great on wet pav & also offroad.
Next, you can also go for a Destination AT - same size....
Anything bigger, you will need a lift.
As for the MPG - if you go with a MTR your MPG will drop - ATs almost no difference - just going to a bigger tire will impact MPGs.

BTW, Welcome to lost
make sure you check in with the midwest section

I believe there is a gas mileage section somewhere around here, sit down, look around, you can find some good stuff around here. Welcome to lost :D

Aside from dropping weight (which you won't do by adding bigger tires), you can do one big thing with your driving style. Do not accelerate hard. The KJ is so heavy and when you floor it, the gas is chugged hard and inhaled fast from the 3.7L V-6. MPG drops drastically.

You can do small things to help, but they don't make up the difference of accelerating slower.
