I just went on a short trail ride today in the George Washington National Forrest and I hit a LOT of rocks with my underbelly, but I am really impressed with how well the Mopar skids hold up... especially when you think they only cost $40. Hell, that's 4 days of lunch where I live. I guess I'm just amazed that they hold up so well for being so cheap. Wanted to share my thoughts... hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving!

I agree. The factory front skid works great and I have only hit my transfer case skid a few times and still holding up fine. They are a good deal for the money. Now the transmission skid is a different story. The factory transmission skid might be Ok for some but I would have ripped it right off and made a real mess w/ what I did to my All J Super Skid II this weekend.

Yeah, that thing does look kind of cheesy... it keeps sticks and shrubbage out of there pretty well, though. Rocks are probably a different story. I put a little dent in the suspension skid, on the lip of the hole where the oil drains from (the side of the lip towards the back of the Jeep). Other than that, it's just a bunch of scrapes and scratches.
