According to Anthony at Reider Racing, Dana, yes Dana, the actual mfg od the D30a, has a gear set listed for the front of the Liberty. It is a specific part # and is different than the part # for other implementations of the D30. I'm getting a set for $131, which is the shop cost, because I am acting like the guinee pig. I'm assuming that if these are actual Dana parts, and are listed specificly for the liberty, then they should work. Anyone have an opinion on this? |

Hopfully the actual manufacturer will have their parts listed correctly, but we shall see. What ratio did you order? Did you find yourself some 4:10's? Would be good news to some...Let us know how they work. |

So is buying the dana 4.10:1 any better or cheaper than buying the 4.10:1 from DC for a 4cyl KJ? Or was the issue that DC won't sell just the gears? |

Issue was that the ONLY way to get a working set of gears for the front diff was from Chrysler, and the cheapest I ever found them was $330. According to Reider Racing, these are the exact same gears, except direct from Dana instead of Dana -> Chrysler -> Me. |

so if you find your self wanting to sell the old 3.73 gears, give me a shout. Now that I have 32's on, I may want to upgrade from my 3.55. |

With 32's you'll want to go at least 4:10's, a 4:30 would be better, but we don't have that option yet. |

do you wanna buy my 3.73s and then I'll put that money towards 4.10s and then I'll drive up there and we can do a gear swap???? Just a thought....perhaps a Spring project...lol |

When you go from 29's to 32's you are gaining ~10% 3.55 x 110% = 3.91 so 4.10s would be great |
