ive been looking around for one but cant find any real info

This is the post that started it all, but basically you have to buy a standard 2 1/2 inch collar either steel or aluminum and then modify it - the differential is about 2 5/9" -
don't tighten the collar down - you'll stress the bearings - you just want a reinforcement - I did finger tight with blue locktight.

The reason the group went with aluminum was to minimize galvanic corrosion. you can accomplish the same thing on the steel by painting the inside of the ring.

i remember about someone making aluminum specific ones for our jeeps

or am i wrong?

Wishfull thinking. I wouldn't do steel (painted or not) if you live anywhere near road salt.
