I'm interested in the ranchos... Anyone knows which is the shock part number for that lift amount on the KJ?
I'd like the OME N132L, but I'm not sure if I can get them in Europe...
Which rear shocks do you use for that lift?

Cheers

I believe you can get them in Europe. Where do you live?

Yes I can get OME shocks here ( Spain ), what I don't know is if the "L" N132 will be sold out of the USA. Same happens with the long time awaited CRD OME front springs...
It is a hassle because the only Ranchos not sold here are the RSX. You can get 9000s and 5000s but no RSX.
Which is the third on the list if I can't get none of the above ?
I currently use a pair of Trailmasters that have 659mm extended and 394mm compressed ( nice) but the bushings are sh*t, they are squeaking like crazy and won't last long, I suspect.

Cheers

Hmmmmm, if your running those extended and compressed measurements - couple of things:
1. They are basically the longest rear shock you can fit to the KJ and the flex rocks!! 8)
2. I hope you are running a 30-35mm rear bumpstop extension ? If not, bye bye shocky
3. How is the valving / ride quality ? good ? too soft, too stiff, just right ?
4. If you like everything about your shocks but the bushes, just get some new & better quality ones.

they are the EXACT measurements i'm running 8)

OzLtd,
1. Go to http://www.trailmaster.de/ , products, downloads, technical info shocks pdf., the serial nº for the KJ is 58510
2. No
3. A bit soft .
I got the 2.5" lift with a second original rubber isolator so maybe that helps with ride quality. Is the bushes fast wearing what worries me. It don't speaks very well of the overall shock quality, if you know what I mean.

I'm running the nissan patrol rear COMFORT valved shock. I think the part no# was N29C or something ? Its ironic that they are the excat same extended and compressed measurements as yours. ! The valving is superior to the recommended OME off the shelf item. It took around 1000klms for them to settle in though.

You really should invest in getting some rear lower diff mounted bump stops - that could even be the reason they are soft - they might be destroyed internally and not actually relieving the shock/bounce at all ? If you have been fully flexing I GUARANTEE YOU HAVE BEEN HITTING THE FOOT VALVE OF THE SHOCKS!!!!

You'd have to get them machined out of aluminium, piece of cake.
