I like both lifts but the rusty's comes with new struts but the bds comes with decent rear shocks (I think). Comments on both lifts and preferences would be nice. I had it narrowed down to rusty's but seen a couple ppl on here are running BDS lift and just wondering how that is with contact issues and the ride quality. Thanks for your time. |

I vote Rustys, you can always upgrade rear shocks. |

I have no experience with Rusty's, but I do have a BDS on mine. It handles great, very smooth ride. I've had no issue with the OE Struts in the front. What I'm not 100% fond of is the lift height. BDS is only 2" where as the rusty is 2.5" (right?). I'm very happy with mine. Only way I would change it is if I end up with a Rock Lizard bumper set, then I'd just upgrade the lift to a Frankenlift. |

I am prelowered on my kj if I get the rusty's or the bds is that extra height I get off the prelowered taken off the lift height. Meaning are they taking the 2.5 inchs or the 2 inchs based off lifting an 03 and up kj is how much lift is achieved or are they basing it off prelowered. |

As with all the lifts that change the springs, you end up with the same lift no matter what rig you started with. A '02 will be the same height as a '06. |

Yea I know that I am talking about on the kits they say 2.5 inch lift is that 2.5 lift from the prelowered height of my libby or from the 06 height of the libby you get 2.5 inchs |

I don't know the total gain for lowered compared to prelowered. If you want to see wha tthe BDS looks like and can do, click the link in my sig. |

You will get more lift with prelowered springs withe a spacer kit,a full coil kit will be the same height no matter what. |

OK guys correct me if I am wrong here but the way it sounds to me the springs are the only thing different in prelowered/older vs lowered/newer. So I am thinking you will get about and inch more lift on a newer model then you would the older model actually regaining the lost inch. This would reason me to believe that in theory the two different vehicles would be at the same height with the same lift kit installed with newer model getting that extra inch back that they lost the older model will not get as much because the lifted spring that much larger then the old one. |

I ended up with 3" of lift with my rustys lift, 2 conduit nuts, and 245/70/16 wheels. |

I'd go with Rusty's. I've installed 3 of them so far. A fourth tomorrow. All of them go on easy and are good kits. |
