I'm always popping plastic rivets from my tires rubbing so I'm thinking about removing my finder liners but I was wondering if that will affect the security of the fender flairs, i.e. weather or not the liners help secure the flairs or if it’s the other way around. I would also appreciate some detail picts of the wheel well with out the liner especially the inside of the fender flair. My 245/75R16s rub a fair bit at full stuff so obviously 265s are going to rub that much more and eventually I want to upgrade to that size but I also want to run 8" wide rims with an additional 1" of offset, can someone who’s running with 265s and wider rims mind sharing what they've done to make them fit and how it works over all?

Are you talking about the front or the rear that's poping the flairs?

The liners are entirely held in by plastic rivets. They are a bit of a chore to remove, but some muscle and coersion and they're out. Use 1/4" rivets, I used aluminum, to reattach the fender flare to the body. Oh yeah, you'll want to roll the lip of the fender from the rear door opening forward. It's a tire cutter.

I think I have popped all the bottom most finder flair to liner rivets and then on the inner part of the liner I've popped some of the plastic push pin retainers (do they have to put these things right where the tires gonna rub?)

Was it easy to re-attach the flares with your aluminum rivets? Did you have to use any special kind, or what? Did you do the same for the front? What'd you do about the special clips that attach the flare to the front bumper? I want to use something more sturdy to attach my flares, but don't want to yank them off before I know how to readily re-attach them securely. Thanks for any help :D
