Here's a pic of my super cheap $15 driving lights mounted on my defender rack(tabs where already there). They are wired into my reverse lights and are aimed so when I look in my side mirrors that's where they shine, can't really see out the tinted rear window at night anyway. They work really well but will in time upgrade to brighter flood lamps.

Ive been thinking about mounting some under my rear bumper on the gas tank skid. That way they would be protected from rocks and stair steps. Ive not gotten around to doing that yet. Hopefully I will in the next two weeks. :)

Local truck shop wanted $115, just went to pepboys and picked up some nice $20 driving lights and mounted them to two holes under my rear bumper.

I thought most driving/fog lights were 55W halogens. Has anybody run into trouble tapping two of them directly into the reverse light wiring? Or are you all using a relay off that wiring? I really only want to run one fog back there (on my rack) but was worried even then I'd have to install a circuit and relay for it so as to not overload the stock wiring.

I got a pair of rectangular lights from wal-mart that are very bright, and since they mount almost flush with the bumper they dont hang down any further than the trailer hitch.

I mounted mine more towards the center so they're out of " the line of fire" behind the tires, so theres very little mud build-up. and thats mainly what there is down here is mud and sand...

I wired it to a seperate switch in case i needed light behind me but didnt want to leave it in reverse...

pics.. sorry its kind of dark

did you just bolt them to the trailer hitch? got any photos of how you mounted them? Are those tail light guards the ones by Manik?
