I was asked to post this a while back. This is Rusty's diff skid installed. It was easy and fit perfect. It was under $50 too.

I've got the same one sitting at home waiting to be installed. I was debating a couple of coats of primer and then a couple of coats of black over that.

It looks like you used different bolts for the cover. I thought everyone was using the stock bolts. Were the stockers a bit too short?

Thanks for the pic!

Get yourself some Duplicolor Spray-on bedliner (Pepboys, etc.) and be done with it. Works great!

Mine came with bolts. Yours did not? They are Allen Wrench type and longer than stock.

I sort of like the way it looks. Also, when you bang it on a rock, the paint does not come off. It is not like it is going to rust.

Talk about treading lightly. Not even paint left behind. :) This is definitely the environmentally sound approach.

Here is another view of me bum. Hopefully it helps the KJ look a little more 'trail rated'.

Sorry to chime in on this so late.....

I bought mine used, no bolts.... maybe I can call Rusty's or just stop by the hardware store and pick some up....I'm thinkin the hardware store route would be cheaper.

That's a good point. I think I have a can of the stuff in the garage too.

That looks pretty good imo. Easy install too, dont have to crack the original cover & drain.
