Post subject:  Clevis lift on OME + spacer

Jan 2004 I had the OME kit installed, but only 20mm lift in front and 35mm at the rear. I then installed a 12mm spacer in the front which was an improvement, but not enough.
Last night I did a 15mm clevis lift in the front and got an extra 25mm! So my overall gain in the front is now 20+12+25=57mm (just over 2 inches). I now have the best of two worlds - OME superior quality drive with over 2 inches lift.
The only problem now is that the KJ is taller in the front than at the rear, but I have already ordered a few trim packs from 4x4 Mega World and will stick them on top of the coils to even things out. This should happen within the next week or so.
The next step would be to replace the OME shocks at the rear with a set of Rancho RSX 17004 for to improve the wheel travel. I will also eventually replace the 245/70/16 Goodyear ATR tyres with 245/70/16 ATR tyres. There are however two things holding me back. The first is that I still have a good few km left on the existing tyres and that I have already noticed rub in the wheel arches and am affraid of causing damage with even bigger wheels. CAN ANYONE GIVE ME SOME ADVICE ON WHEATHER THIS IS A LOT WORSE OR ACCEPTABLE - WILL IT IN THE LONG-TERM NOT CAUSE DAMAGE?
