Mine also on passenger side of center console. I used heavy duty velcro from home depot so no drillingg and looks good. Just make sure you maount it far enough forward so u can move seat forward to put down rear seat. |

I found this on youtube. the cb is mounted inside the drivers side kick panel, under the steering wheel. Don't know how practical it is and if you can hear it though http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZnPegWG47c |

YEA not practical at all. u keep openin and closing that things you will wear out the clips then it wont stay closed. i'm gonna take pics of my set up. it easy to reach, easy to do, and out of the way |

that is pretty slick mounting but, somehow I dont think my Cobra 29 will fit and I cant imagine that is very good on those clips |

I didnt know that panel opened like that. maybe i can put something there as well...btw if you run on channel 19 or dont use the cb that often it is a pretty good place to put it. and if you have an external speaker mounted say on the B-piller then you dont have to worry about hearing it. once you set the squelch the only time you would open it is to turn the channel or turn it up, on/off i will see just how practical it is to have something there.... |

That would be a perfect place to mount one of the cobra 75's since all the controls are on the handset, you would only need to pop that piece off once to install. I have found where I'm mounting my cobra 75!!! |

See a Cobra 75 its a perfect lpace for it, byt i still think its bad placement for a regular CB |

maybe under your seat for that cobra? i know the radio, and it's fairly large. i have a tiny cobra 19 something, it's shoved inside the armrest console...but...be carefull of bending over the coax at the bottom of the compartment.....some folks go over the rearview mirror, some on the side of the tranny tunnel...as for wiring, i ran my power leads under the tranny/shifter tunnel and up under the dash, tapped into the cig lighter circuit |

I'm runnin a uniden almost the exact same size as the Cobra 29 I just have it tucked between my seat and console. As far as wireing just swing by your local truck stop and pick up a cigarette lighter plug (they come pre-wired for your radio)and tuck the wire under the side of your console. Dusty |

Needs a bit of force. Just put your fingers through the hole under the steering wheel and pull out towards you. As far as I'm aware, that part is pretty much identical on all models. |
