I've just completed lifting my rig(Rusty's front & rear springs, Rancho's front and rear, added rear isolator, and front clevis conduit washers) tucked 31x10.50 on 15x8's. Had front clunk, got JKS disco's now just need new bushings, did jam nut and longer bolt at upper pin. I am getting a clunk and feels like something shifting back and forth. When I stop at stop light "clunk and feels like axle shiftes forward, take off and feels like it clunks back. I had noise from shocks added washers. Everything's tight. Would it be in diff. gears or drive shaft U-Joints or maybe springs shifting?????????/

Sorry I dont have an answer but I am experiencing the same kind of sound. Not sure about the shifting feeling but definitely the sound. Whats weird is that I had no issues after installing Rusty's kit but a week later I added the conduit lock nuts to level out the look and have had that sound ever since. I thought it may have been the sway bar since I had to unhook it to add the lock nuts. I was thinking maybe I didnt tighten it back up enough.

Could be an engine mount. Check the nuts for tightness, tighten as needed.

check this topic, I'm still trying to figure out the same thing. I'm pretty sure it is because I did not tighten the top nut on the strut plate enough which is allowing the strut assembly to move around. I am going to try and resolve the issue this weekend, couldn't get to it last weekend.

Sounds like LCA bushings, maybe. That's the kind of clunk I get, too. LCAs and Moog LBJs going in this weekend (assuming I can get hold of a BJ press) so I'll know if that's what it is or not, then. Other than the spindles, I'm going to have an all new IFS on my 05, after this. :? Not sure how I should feel about that. I just hope this fixes everything, finally.

Thanks for the reply about clunking noise. Problem fixed or found. My rear passanger lower control arm bushing shot, moving around in cradle on axle.

Awesome. Good news for me. Pretty sure my driver's side bushings are shot. I'll know after this weekend. :D Can't wait!
