Does anyone have experience with these? They are apparently supposed to have a smooth ride. TIA |

You need to have your rear sway bar off and your front on to notice any difference. |

I don't know why so many people use shocks. I've had my shocks (and front struts) replaced with solid metal bars for a long time now. You want to talk about a smooth ride? Well, this doesn;t give you one, but man, you really get a feel for the road under you. Besides, if you are as good of a driver as I am, you never hit any bumps in the road anyway. Off-road this system is GREAT! I mean, I can't ever keep all 4 tires on the ground at once, but I haven't stuffed a tire since I did it, so I don't have to worry about what size tire I have. I have 35" under it atm. Sure I rub a bit when I try to turn (I'm such a good driver that I don't actually have to turn often. Physics don't apply to me, so I just will the jeep in whatever direction I want it to go) but but they never stuff and it looks AWSOME! seriously though, I have no experience with them |

I am familiar with rocky road since I used to hava a samurai, miss that one, but I can even find a good picture of their shocks. I know that someone either here or on jeepkj.com has used rocky roads rockfather lift, if you can find them maybe they will have some input. |

"This is a discussion forum, for the purpose of passing useful information." I agree with that and would like to ammend it to: This is a discussion forum, for the purpose of passing useful information in a friendly environment. FYI - When each person signed up they clicked the "I agree to these terms" button after reading: "You agree that the webmaster, administrator and moderators of this forum have the right to remove, edit, move or close any topic at any time should they see fit." If it's something that's going to lead the thread into a direction with pointless bickering and potential name calling, it's gone. Easy as that. That are plenty other web sites that let you do that. I have these on my CRD with my OTT lift and the ride rough and squeak alot. That is why I going to go with the new frankenlift. I'll let you know find it to be an improvement. |

does the OTT contribute to the noise? from what ive gathered that is one of the worst modifications you can do and usually lead to clunks and noises. my main concern was how smooth they are since they are actually hydraulic instead of gas shocks. i dont want gas shocks. |

No the OTT lift has been fine for the CRD because the front end geometry is a little different. The rear on the OTT lift is similar to the Daystar lift. Part of the major problem with the hydroshocks is the don't have dust covers so they squeak like crazy. They are also way to soft fot the libby and they bottom out quite easily. I would recommend the OTT lift before the hydroshocks. |
