okay...so i have a RRO lift...and added my ARB on....it has the heavy duty springs and all...but like everyone else it has lowered it about 1/2" due to the weight...we all know that anyways, i bought them a while ago, the strut plates from rustys... my question is : where exactly do they install, and will these pretty much level out the height in the front? i am guessing they just go between the coil setup and the body of the jeep? so just pop the nuts out from the top, pull the coil setup out enough to stuff the plate in...and then reinstall? hopefully thanks |

When I did mine, I had to grind the holes a bit larger because they didn't line up with the bolts on the strut plate. This would also be a good time to do a clevis lift also. Make sure you have enough length on your strut bolts to handle the thickness of the strut plate. It is a lot of work to install the strut plates. |

i dont think / want to do a clevis lift i dont want to start bringing negative angles onto my CV...theyre already pretty aggressive angles what is actually comprised in a clevis lift though, ive never really researched it.....how do you perform one? so far my only lift comes from my springs in the front and back.....im about to add the front strut plates...and a rear isolator pad in the rear |

Basically to do the clevis you are just pulling the bottom of the strut "up" out of the clevis a small amount. The easiest is to get some 2 inch conduit washers that way you can put however many you want to on and both sides will be the same instead of just trying to eyeball it. As far as the angles goes, if you do the clevis or the strut plate its comes down to pretty much the same thing. |

I have both clevis and the strut plate. My Rusty lift was sagging a lot. I did both to compensate for the sagging. I'm probably going to move to the Frankenlift soon. |
