I know I can run 245 75s with a 2 1/2" lift, but I also know a lot of guys are running 265s too. What have you all had to do to make 'em fit? Thanks |

If you're looking for max clearance, don't forget the 235/85 tires. (Same height). Fit better under the wheelwells and are cheaper to buy. Also a bigger variety of manufacturers make a tire this size. 265/75s can remove rear fender flares with abandon. |

So would 235 85s fit with just 2 1/2" of lift? Or is there more work to be done? |

You'll definitely have to pound down the pinchweld and massage the plastic some to decrease rubbing, but there are at least a half dozen rigs here that are running them or have before. Use the search function and I'll bet you come up with some helpful hits. Darby had some on the old '02, and Moose is running them now, that's all I can think of. In the case of some tire makers like for instance Interco, the 32X9X16 is a 235/85 tire dimensionally I believe. |

If you run this tire size, will it still fit on the stock spare tire mount and location? Or, is it too big or heavy? |

If you repost asking about the 235/85s I'm sure some of the people running them will chime in. |

I've had 265/75/16's for 2 1/2 yrs. and the spare mount is spaced out with washers to allow the rear widow to open. No problems thus far. |

What have you all had to do to make 'em fit? Thanks Look in the rear at your bump stop in relation to the distance to the spring perch. I mounted an extended bump stop to the spring perch to maintain that distance to avoid over stuffing and ripping off the rear flares. As for the front, pound the pinch weld over and push the plastic forward around the fog light area. With stock 16 X 7 rims and 265/75/16's you will rub on the front swaybar at full turn. Solution, don't turn so sharp! |
