Post subject:  ARB Air Lockers and Lube

I finally finished installing my front ARB Air Locker and gears. Is it acceptable to use 75W-90 in the front differential when the 2005 service manual specifies 80W-90? The ARB Manual recommends Mobilube GX90 or GX140. I want to get the Liberty back on the road and Advance Auto doesn't have Mobil 1 "Synthetic" in 80W-90. I'm running Mopar "Synthetic" 75W-140 in the rear and am going to switch to Amsoil Severe Gear at the 500 mile change. Just want to verify before breaking-in the gears.

I bet it would/should be fine. I also bet ARBSETH would know for sure.

I phoned ARB USA today. OEM specified lube, synthetic or not, will work fine. Mobilube is just ARB's European recommendation.

Jason, I would if I could! My onboard air parts haven't arrived yet and I'm installing my brother's locker this weekend. Are you going to Snowshoe Jeep Jamboree this year?
