has anyone ever done this? i'm in the market for a lift and i was just wondering if it's possible to say buy ome springs here, struts and plates there, shocks from there, and other misc. parts from another place. i know there are certain parts (spacers) that i'd have to get from say all j or whereever but i was just curious if anyone has done this.

I have OME Heavy Dutys from All Js
Rancho struts from All Js
Rancho rear shocks from Summit Racing
Conduit nuts from Lowes

So yes you can do it that way, I searched around found good prices, free shipping etc. Took two months but then I never missed 5-6-700 dollars at one time that way! wife didnt either

Yes, it can be done and cheaper then most would think. You just have to take the time to look around a little for some deals. I have the pieced together lift listed in my sig. I'm very happy with it so far and you can read the post I did after everything was installed HERE. If you read thorugh the thread I listed where I found the different parts and what they cost when I bought them.

I have done it with my "04' Libby. I bought Rusty's front and rear springs(around $250.00) added Rancho's struts and rear shocks(around $150.00) added front conduit nuts(around $2.00) rear top isolators(around $15.00) and added some hockey pucks on the rear for bump stops(around $4.00) I kept it under $450.00 and got the set up I wanted. When I added new wheels and tires, "That's when I got into the piggey bank"! Haven't got the hang of posting pics yet, but you can see my rig on Post pics sight under CIMMERIAN My"04" Liberty

$150.00 for Rancho struts and shocks. What kind and where did you find them for that price? I paid $145 for just the struts, shipped, and thought I got a great deal.

Hello,

I have OME HD all around for the moment but I just got shipped the Extra Heavy Duty springs from King Springs from down under for the front and I will get the back end of the Rock Father II setup installed pretty soon.

Once I get this all in I will tell you guys how it wheels...

+ maybe the front fender cut to allow for bigger tyres(235/85 R16...)
