I may be buying a set of Moabs/MTRs soon and I had a few questions about them:

1. Do Moab Wheels work with the Liberty Tire Pressure Monitor System? We don't have the trip computer thingy, just the little dash light, if that makes a difference. Which reminds me, is there a way to turn that thing off when you are aired down for the trail?

2. We don't really like the shiny finish of the moabs. Do you think we could paint, powdercoat, or rhino line them in a grey color, similar to the stock renegade rims? Which of these finishes would be the most durable, and least likely to flake off?

1. Yes the Moab wheels work on the KJ, lots of persons on the board have them on. Not entirely sure about the TPM system compatibility though.

2. As far as painting them, I think one person on here has tried that, not sure of the success of it though...i would think they are going to get scratched anyway and beat up, I mean heck there wheels, a little rock rash here a little tap of the curb there, so i'd go with what would be easiest to touchup over time.

I think some of the later Moabs have a different finish. You may want to see about swapping with someone who may want the shine Also, I'd expect you'd have to move your TPMS sensors over to the Moabs - 10 min. job.

TPMS sensors should bolt straight into the Moabs

I just had this conversation w/ a customer of mine the other day. What a coincidence.
There are people running the sensors in the Moabs. Be careful running aired down and crawling rocks though as I have seen the sensors get damaged from that. I am prettty sure you can either turn off the sensors from the overhead computer, through a series of turns of the ignition key and button pushing (swear I saw a post about it a long time ago), or get the dealer to do it.

From what i found the dealer has to do it. Depending on the model year i think they can only turn on/off the spare. I have 4 right now, but i can't program them becasue i need the 5th spare tire sensor. The sensor is like $42 i think. Dealer wants 1hr @ $100hr to mess with trying to turn it off. I'm just gonna get the sensor. Cheaper.
