My suspension creaks over every bump I hit. It only happens after my Liberty has been sitting for a while, mainly overnight. It might be temperature dependent, it still gets down into the upper 40's here at night. I've been doing some light to moderate wheeling, nothing major, no water crossings anywhere close to the hubs. I've had my ball joints replaced about 12,000 miles ago and everything looks fine, a little dusty.

I'm just wondering what's causing the noise and if it is anything I should be concered about, or do I just need to tell the wife my suspension needs work and I should just go ahead and order a Frankenlift (which I was planning on doing next month anyway).

Thanks for the help, you guys always come through.

If it is when the front goes up and down I would hit the sway bar with some silicone based lube
our KJ did the same thing for a while then we started spraying with the lube when we had it happen and it has been gone for a while

I went thru it too & got both lower control arms replaced ( all bushings were wasted) tight as a drum now, extened warrenties are worth the money could've been an expensive fix

My wife is a warranty administrator at a Dodge/Jeep dealership in our city. She says all Jeeps, and KJ's in particualr are always being brought in with "squeeks". I have had pretty much every bushing there is on the front of the KJ replaced. They just seem to be a crappy part all around. Nothing major, a bushing here and there, nothing to worry about.

Get the sway bar bushings replaced, I'd say that will do it. If not, keep going down the list. If your KJ is still under warranty, they should all be covered. If it's not on warranty anymore, they're cheap to replace.

Hope that helps
