Post subject:  REAR OME HD coil Springs QUESTION

I should be getting my rear OME HD springs soon...

Does anyone know if I should order the (extra) bottom bump stop from All J Products? Is this a must?

How about if I plan to leave the sway bar in place?

Thanks

That will depend on the shocks
bumpstops limit up travel and have no bearing on the spring ,for the most part
if you go with longer shocks then you will need to extend your bumpstops

If you stick with the OME 132 shocks and NOT the 132L, then you will not need extended bumpstops. You also will not need them if you use the stock shocks..

I wouldnt do that since the ride with those sucks. Its amazing how much better it rides with the OME shocks.. 8)

I think what you want to know is do you need to bump stop the rear or not?
first spring length does not determan that shocks do ,shocks limit down travel
they also limit up travel but only to avoid damaging the shock due to length
so that is why you use bumpstop spacers

The BEST way to tell if you need bumpstops is to jack up the rear of the jeep
remove both wheels
remove 1 springs and 1 shock
jack axel up to the bumpstop then push the shock all the way up it should be about 1" shorter than the length that is need at the axel mounting point

This is as per Nth* mobility and checking the length on a TJ but the same rules apply to the KJ

If you still need help or still have questions just ask

I Still have the OEM Top bump stop

But All J Products Offer an additional Bottom bump stop. It comes with the complete Frankenlift...

If I'm not making sence, here is the link to the install guide.
Thanks

OK I am not being rude
but are you reading the above post?
I ,nor any one else, can not answer your question with out knowing your close shock length

Fact's
A)Stock length shocks DO NOT need extra bumpstop spacing
B)Longer than stock length DO need extra bumpstops
Wich ones do you have A or B
