i was on my way to go camping in the mountains when my check engine light came on. Also the jeep was stuck in gear and wouldn't down shift. even when i came to a stop and pulled out it started in 3rd or 4th. when i turn the jeep off and start it again the problem goes away until drive up a steep long mountain road. does anybody have an idea whats wrong. if i dont drive any mountain roads the check engine light will stay off, but i want to get it fixed before i reach 70,000 |

If it's under warranty just take it to the dealer. |

Need to pull the code to start with, that'll get you in the right direction. If it's still under warranty take it to the dealer and let them fix it. |
